Graduated with honors from the Pharmaceutical Faculty of the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy.
Defended his Ph.D.dissertation in "Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy" in 2001 and his Sc.D. dissertation in "Technology of Medicines and Organization of a Pharmaceutical Business" and "Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy" in 2005. In 2010, he was awarded the academic title of Professor
